About

As I stepped off the plane in Kampala, Uganda's vibrant capital, I felt a thrill of excitement. I was about to embark on an unforgettable journey through two of Africa's most breathtaking countries: Uganda and Rwanda.

Day 1-5: Uganda's Warm Embrace

My adventure began in Kampala, where I explored the National Museum and Kasubi Tombs, uncovering the city's rich cultural heritage. Next, I ventured to Lake Mburo National Park, where I spotted majestic antelopes and zebras on a thrilling game drive. The tranquil lake shores offered a perfect setting for a relaxing boat tour.

Day 6-10: Bwindi's Gorilla Haven

I journeyed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the elusive mountain gorillas. As I trekked through the dense forest, the sound of leaves rustling beneath my feet was suddenly replaced by the gentle gaze of a gorilla family. Queen Elizabeth National Park beckoned next, with its stunning Kazinga Channel and Ishasha Sector's tree-climbing lions.

Day 11-15: Kibale's Chimpanzee Kingdom

In Kibale National Park, I encountered the intelligent and charismatic chimpanzees, watching in awe as they swung through the trees. Murchison Falls National Park awaited, with its majestic Nile River and breathtaking waterfalls. A hike to the top of the falls left me awestruck.

Day 16-20: Rwanda's Resilience

Crossing into Rwanda, I discovered Kigali's poignant Genocide Memorial Centre and vibrant Inema Art Center. Volcanoes National Park was next, where I trekked to meet the endangered golden monkeys and embarked on a poignant hike to Dian Fossey's grave.

As I departed Kigali, I reflected on the incredible experiences that had left an indelible mark on my heart. Uganda and Rwanda had revealed their secrets, and I had fallen deeply in love with the beauty, resilience, and warmth of these African nations.
