About

As I stepped off the plane in Arusha, Tanzania, the warm African sun enveloped me, and I knew I was in for an adventure of a lifetime. My journey would take me through Tanzania's breathtaking national parks and into Uganda's lush mountains, where I would encounter the majestic mountain gorillas.

Day 1-3: Tanzania's Northern Delights

My journey began in Tarangire National Park, where ancient baobab trees stood sentinel over the savannah. I spotted majestic elephants roaming freely, their trunks swaying gently in the breeze. Next, I ventured to Lake Manyara National Park, where the alkaline lake shimmered like a mirage, attracting flocks of pink flamingos.

Day 4-6: Serengeti's Endless Plains

The Serengeti National Park beckoned, with its endless plains stretching as far as the eye could see. I witnessed the Great Migration, where wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes trekked across the landscape in search of greener pastures. A hot air balloon safari offered a bird's-eye view of this breathtaking spectacle.

Day 7-9: Ngorongoro's Crater of Wonder

Ngorongoro Conservation Area was next, with its stunning crater, a natural amphitheater teeming with wildlife. I descended into the crater, spotting lions, leopards, and rhinos, and visited the Olduvai Gorge, where humanity's earliest footsteps were discovered.

Day 10-12: Uganda's Pearl

I flew to Entebbe, Uganda, and drove to Lake Mburo National Park, where the tranquil lake shores offered a serene escape. A boat tour revealed the park's diverse aquatic life, including hippos, crocodiles, and colorful bird species.

Day 13-15: Bwindi's Gorilla Haven

Finally, I ventured to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the elusive mountain gorillas. As I trekked through the dense forest, the sound of leaves rustling beneath my feet was suddenly replaced by the gentle gaze of a gorilla family. This unforgettable encounter left me awestruck and humbled.

As I departed Kampala, I reflected on the incredible experiences that had left an indelible mark on my heart. Tanzania and Uganda had revealed their secrets, and I had fallen deeply in love with the beauty, resilience, and warmth of these East African nations.
