About
As I embarked on my journey through Tanzania and Rwanda, I felt a sense of excitement and wonder. The majestic landscapes, vibrant cultures, and incredible wildlife of East Africa awaited.
Â
Day 1-3: Tanzania's Northern Delights
Â
My adventure began in Arusha, Tanzania's safari capital. I explored the bustling markets and vibrant cultural scene. Next, I ventured to Tarangire National Park, marveling at the ancient baobab trees and diverse wildlife. A thrilling game drive in Lake Manyara National Park revealed the park's stunning scenery and birdlife.
Â
Day 4-6: Serengeti's Endless Plains
Â
The Serengeti National Park beckoned, with its endless plains stretching as far as the eye could see. I witnessed the Great Migration, where wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes trekked across the landscape. A hot air balloon safari offered a breathtaking bird's-eye view of this natural wonder.
Â
Day 7-8: Ngorongoro's Crater of Wonder
Â
Ngorongoro Conservation Area was next, with its stunning crater, a natural amphitheater teeming with wildlife. I descended into the crater, spotting lions, leopards, and rhinos.
Â
Day 9-10: Rwanda's Land of a Thousand Hills
Â
I crossed into Rwanda, the Land of a Thousand Hills. Kigali, the capital city, welcomed me with its vibrant markets and poignant Genocide Memorial Centre. I explored the scenic countryside, visiting local villages and tea plantations.
Â
Day 11-12: Volcanoes National Park
Â
Volcanoes National Park was my next destination, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. I trekked through the dense forest, coming face-to-face with these majestic creatures. The experience was humbling and unforgettable.
Â
Day 13-14: Lake Kivu's Serene Beauty
